hamburg plow works plow shares

I have located a old style plow share for my plow project. It is made by hamburg plow works. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if hamburg shares are made of steel or are cast iron.

I did find hamburg plow works on the net and asked. they told me they quit making plow shares in 1980 and can't anwser my question.

you can answer your own question with a grinder...somewhere on the back of the share just run a grinding wheel enuff to see sparks...if they are dull red its cast...if more of a brite white its steel.
