NH 55 rake, difference between 55 and super 55

I have a rake I am fixing up and there seems to be some difference in the parts that I am getting used, Just wonder if any one know much about the Rakes and serial numbers etc. Thanks

The super 55 had the rear axle at an angle so that the rake would follow the ground better, and not drop into ruts. Since the axle is at an angle there is a universal joint on the axle, between the two wheels, I think.

If it is like my IH #35,there two ujoints on the axle.

My Super 55 has the straight axle, no u joints. I thought the only difference was the paint scheme, and I think they only made the super for 1 year.

The offset axle was not until the 56 series. The
S55 had updated paint,slight update on universal
joint(but interchangeable)and I believe that the
jack had a bit of an update? Chuck
