MO8N4ME 11-25-2012 12:57:58 72.172.196.40 Report to Moderator	I bought this loader Friday and I am going to install it on my 860. It has an old Vickers vane pump on it and I was going to do away with that and install the HV5902 kit sold here. Can some one tell me the differance between the HV5902 and the HV4902 kit? I was planning on using one of these kits and just feed my Valve/Spool Assy from the kit if I understand the purpose of these kits correctly. Any other options/suggestions would be appreciated. The HV5902 plate has all three connections on the plate, so no need for custom plumbing of the return line to the sump. [Reply]  [No Email]

So I am going to go the route you all suggested is the better way. Also I pulled the old vane pump off of the loader, and the loader still had a couple of gallons of fluid in it and the fluid was clean and transparent. So I have to fabricate rear brackets and paint her-up. My total investment on the loader will be right at $400. [Reply]  [No Email]

For years we had an 8N with a loader run off of the test port. We didn't know any different, it worked just fine, and it was a lot better than a shovel. Make sure your pump is in good shape and go after it. I'd hook it up, run it a day good, and then change all the fluid. You don't know what's left in that system right now and you sure don't want to pump in a lot of water and leave it in your tractor. All that said, throw your pennies in a coffee can and save up for a front pump. You will appreciate the upgrade and your machine probably would, too [Reply]  [No Email]

Get a front mount pump for that loader. It runs off the front of the crankshaft. The tractor pump will be so slow, you'll end up putting a front pump on. [Reply]  [No Email]

If I use the tractor adapter, will the cycle double, say, 22 seconds? Do you have a tractor that has a loader that is "so slow"? One of my considerations is cost. It will cost at least $400 for a pump and the shaft and mounting adapters. If I use the Power beyond plate the cost would be $88 plus a couple of hoses. Another consideration is, I have a 58 year old tractor, although very worthy, it serves its purpose for me, even modestly. I'm in no hurry when I use it. [Reply]  [No Email]
