John Deere b drill

i just got a model b drill today and i am trying to find out about how old it is the serial number is 5411 and it is hydro lift and rubber tires. any info is greatly appreciated, Matt

All model B drills had rubber tires. IIRC the earlier ones had 16" and later ones had 15" tires. The cyl lift was one of three options of which were levers,mechanical lift(rope pull) or hyd. I remember unloading the pieces out of a RR boxcar and assembly of them at the dealership. I think they were built from early 50's to late 60's.

i might be wrong on this but i think the first 2 numbers are the year it was made, so it would be a 54. the 11 might be the month but don't take that to the bank!!
