I finished sharpening mine yesterday. I split wood all day off and on today. |

| We saw up about 8 cords per year. Sharpen the blade every 2 to 2 1/2 yrs time. Sharpen with a 4" grinder with 120 grit blade. The grinding is done on the face of the tooth, and not on the top of it. Blade is 31" in dia. I have put on all the blade guards that I can. |

| Here's a You Tube video on sharpening a crosscut buzz saw. I don't agree with 100% of the way this guy does it, mainly because you never freehand reduce the top of the tooth according to what I was taught, but the rest is pretty much on as I remember.

| I just got one this summer and hope to get it set up this fall. I have a belt coming from ebay and then I should be able to try it. I have been wondering about how to sharpen the blade correctly, any advice you have would be very helpful. Zach |

| If you can find one of the old Belsaw Do All sharpeners that would work. Or you can do it by hand with a hand held grinder. You can use an adjustable wrench as a swage if need be. The cord wood saw is awesome for small rounds. I use one a 8N its great for tree tops. Not so great for slab wood. I've been thinking about making a sliding table saw for cutting slab wood from the saw mill. A great use for the cord wood saw is cutting sawmill edgings (bundled) into cubes for making charcoal. |

| I FINALLY FOUND A SAW SET, A TOOTH SETTER. mY TEETH WERE ALL BUT INLINE. i CUT BY MYSELF, AND HAVE NO OFF BEARER, SO THE TEETH GET STRAIGHTENED EVENTUALLY. aFTER SETTING, i JUST FILE EACH INDIVIDUAL TOOTH IN A COMFORTABLE ANGLE WITH THE END OF THE FILE GOING OUT IN THE DIRECTION THE TOOTH IS ANGLED. aFTER FILEING THE RUST OFF, i THEN TAKE THE FILE, A FLAT ONE, AND RUN IT OUT FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BLADE STRAIGHT OUT IN LINE WITH THE BLADE AND BRING IT OUT. kINDA LIKE FILEING THE BACK SIDES OF SICKLE MOWER SECTIONS. tHIS TAKES THE WIRE EDGE OFF. i DO ALL ON ONE SIDE, THEN DO THE OTHER SIDE THE SAME WAY. if ANYBODY EVER NEEDS A HAMMERMILL BELT. LOOK AROUND FOR USED ROUND BAILER BELTING. i HAVE 2 FULL LENGTHS THAT MAKES A long BELT AROUND 50FT. but i NOTICE THAT THE SAW RUNS SMOOTHER WITH A LONG BELT. iM USEING A SHORT ONE TODAY AS IVE MOVED THE SAW FROM ITS ACCOSTOMED PLACE AFTER 30YRS SO AS TO CUT GREEN WOOD AND PUT IT IN A PILE OUTSIDE THE WOOD SHED. wHEN IM DONE, AND THAT OUGHT TO BE AROUND 3 RICKS, iLL REMOVE THE SAW BACK SO THAT THE BLADE STICKS INSIDE THE WOOD SHED, AND RESET IT THERE TO CUT A BIG OLE TREE THATS BEEN WIND BLOWN OVER FOR A YEAR AND GOOD AND DRY. |

| Wish at times I had one of the 3 I have set up. Have one that appears to have insert teeth in it but is only about 18 inches in diameter. Also have one with a 36 inch blade but just a normal tooth set up and some are rusted real bad. Then the 3rd has no blade but has the best feed set up. I can not run a gas chain saw any more but sure could do the buzz saw and an electric chain saw |

| Have not rode the bike in over a year. Did ride the boys bike right after he got it to have it inspected and licensed but that was almost a year ago. My bike has been sitting now for over a year and only run a couple times in that time. I want to get or build a 3 wheeler but seems the $$ just aren't there for that at this time |
