Hey, Still looking for a small drop spreader. Something around 6 or 8 feet would be nice. Need one for spreading lime on deer food plots. No junk wanted. Thanks

I still like the drop spreader, they seem to do a more even job of spreading the material.

i have a big one and it does a great job, just a little hard to take down the road to the other garden spots.

as it is 12ft wide.

however, you must do a very good job of cleaning the spreader out and oiling it down when you complete the job.

these old spreaders do not like fertilizer being left in them.

Probably going to be real tough to find. Nobody wanted to cover only 8 feet at a pass, and they were mostly abandoned fifty years ago. I know where there has been one sitting three hundred yards from my house for forty some years but I don't expect there is much left of it.

I know of a 5 ft. that I think is usuable but the top of the hopper got bent from some junk dropping on it. It with the dent in the hopper would still be usuable on that part. It has 8" rubber tires and I know it is avaible, and I don't thing it is that much overpriced, located in western Ohio. If it would have been a 10 or 12' model I would have had it for resale but 10' is what they prefer for use in the vegetable farm hoop houses. Don't know of any company that made a 6' and think Dearborn was only company with an 8' model.
