I have two Ontario grain drills that i think are in excellent condition. They both have the charts still attached inside the lids. The one serial number is B 2955 is there a way to get the year out of it? thanks

I thought they were only on wood wheels and that would put them before about 1935 at the latest.

They are both on steel wheels and are painted red. I posted a picture of them under the Help Identify section on this website if you want to take a look at them. Thanks any info will help.

Ontario drills were made until around 1990. Sometime in the late 50s or early 60s, McConnell Manufacturing bought them and moved them to Prattsburg, NY. Their 1950s products were similar to Oliver, with steel boxes patterned after the older wood box, on tall rubber. Eventually they produced a modern, steel-box, low wheel machine that was similar in appearance to most other end-wheel drills built in the 1960s to 1980s.
