11L15 implement tire pressure?

What pressure do you run in your 11L15 implement tires? i have a gravity wagon with this size and it says 36 psi max but when i put a nice load on it, it seems to squat the tires alot. yaya i know, put less in it, well sometimes we forget which wagon we are dumping into.

So can i go with a higher psi safely? (these tires are new)

whats the use of having a wagon if you can't fill it? I have a 300 EZ Flow with 12.5-15's and I run them at 45psi.

That's kind of what I thought to but I just bought it this way, I didn't know if wouldn't handle a full load. I know the ideal thing to do would be replace the running gear with a heavier one or even put a higher ply tire on but that's not in the budget

Is the 36psi the beat seating max pressure??? Lots of tires have a 36psi beat seating max pressure.
10 ply tires should be able to take more that 36psi... my airseeder calls for 50psi (iirc)... and 10 ply lt tires on the 3/4 ton are at 80psi for a full load.

According to the Firestone specs, 36 psi would indicate your tires are 8-ply and have a max load of 2540 lbs each. 10- and 12-ply tires would be able to go up to 44 and 52 psi, respectively, with corresponding increases in load capacity. It would be a bad idea to try to get 10- or 12-ply tire capacity out of your 8-ply tires by over-inflating them.

Inflating an overloaded 8 ply tire from 32psi to 12 ply pressure and carrying a 12 ply load. Will fail the tire faster than the 8 ply tire at 32 psi and with a 12 ply load.
The likely source of the 8 ply failure at 32psi and 12 ply load. Would be over heating due to the extra flexing when hauled extended distances at high speed. 2nd cause would be a bump from pot holes.

Since they no longer "Rate" a tire by how many actual Plies it has...
Now, one single Ply can be rated as "4-Ply"..
If you would get used Aircraft tires, they WOULD be maybe 20 Ply and you could run then until they wore through 10 of them...!!
Some find them to very reasonable and can be purchased with new rims that will take the load they can handle...
A friend put a pair on his JD 3010 Loader tractor and they look Great...they never squat at all, either..

Ron..

Steve 99% of the farmers I know and sold tires to, put 45 lbs of air in their 11LX15 8 ply tires.
