Does a Gator (6X4) have a water pump? The temp. Light comes on but the fan does not kick on and the radiator seems cool. It does have coolant.

yes, (On a Gas engine) they can get air in the system because the radiator is lower than the high point in the system. p!ss poor design, they can be a bear to get right sometimes.

there may be a different sending unit for the fan to kick on...my Teryx has one and it went bad...hooked up a toggle switch instead of spending $85.00 for the unit.

fan switch is a temp probe stuck through the fins on the radiator.

Thanks for your help. After reading your thoughts and reviewing the operator manual again, I discovered the overflow reservoir. Bottom line-Not enough coolant. Filled it according to instructions and it seems to be ok. Thanks again.
