NH 824 corn head

Yes, according to the book. Tin work is adjustable as are bolt patterns for the gathering units. Pull the unit off and stand it up- you'll see most of what you need from the bottom.

Since we just purchased a nh chopper ourselves I was looking into this. You can adjust the heads, but you may need different tin as it would be set for wide rows. If you do I know where some wide row tin is sitting in a shed, could probably be had for a reasonable price.

824 heads are adjustable in 2 inch increments from 28 to 40 inches. They were shipped from factory with narrow row sheet metal or wide row sheet metal. Narrow row sheet metal adjusts 28-30-32-34.Wide row sheet metal adjusts 34-36-38-40. If owner wants to adjust from 30" to 36" or wider requires a conversion kit (which is all the sheet metal parts of the center snout and covers). Lots more stuff has to be unbolted and locations shifted plus gathering chains must be re-timed. It is a time consuming job. You definitely need owners manual to do it correctly. Call a dealer and order one or perhaps you can order one from New Holland website.
We bought a 824 10 years ago. It was a narrow row from factory set at 30 inches . We grow 36 inches. I set the space at 34 and it works with no problems.
