What is the difference in a 24T from a14T JD Baler

I think the bridge on the 24T plungerhead with the 2 wear pads that bolts on with one bolt was a poor design. The bolt would break and the bridge would get lost in hay field. I still remember selling them when I worked for a JD dealer.

I've run both with good results. I did break a wear pad bolt on my 24T, lost it in the field and found it weeks later. The 24T has a better method for adjusting bale length.

go for 24T. The next model is a 336 which basically put rollers in the plunger head and gears to drive the knotters. 24T's had shaft driven kickers which hammer themselves to pieces but can be fitted with a #30 hydraulic kicker with the correct brackets.

336 & 24T share the same knotters and both are shaft driven just that 24T knotter shaft is chain driven instead of gears.

24 T is built better per other replies. But a 14T can put up a lot of hay if you give it a chance. I had one that appeared to have been used for artillery practice, then donated to a welding school. Put up several thousand bales of grass hay with it, mostly without really understanding what I was doing. Sold it for what I'd paid for it (225) and probably could have gotten a bunch more. Wound up with a 336 and wouldn't go back.
