Model of Van Brunt Grain Drill

I"m trying to determine the model number of a Van Brunt grain drill I recently purchased. It is a 7' x 6" spacing model. It has wood grain box, wood grass seeder, no fertilizer box, high steel wheels, single disk openers. Boxes have been repainted so no decals are visible. I have a Model F manual and it isn't an F. Photos attached. Any ideas? Thanks. Dick

Originally horse drawn. At one time it probably had a board walkway across the back for the driver to stand on while he drove the horses.

Dad had a McCormack drill that looked a lot like that one. I remember riding on the back walkway.

He hitched up an outlaw horse with the regular team one day to break the outlaw to harness. Darn outlaw reared up and struck Dad in the face with his roof and broke his nose.

Dad traded the outlaw to a dealer; the dealer put him in with a semi-load he was shipping to Chicago. By the time the driver got half away to Chicago, the outlaw had killed 2 other horses so they shot the outlaw and sold him to a fox farm for fox food.

Dad bought a 10ft press drill and planted with a tractor after that. Can't remember what happened to the horse drill, but I think he sold it to somebody.

I have a couple Van Brunt drills...The first thing I noticed in your picture are the wheel hubs... Those empty pockets hold the wood spokes on both my drills... Looks like your wheels have been converted from wooden wheels...

Thanks for the replies guys. I"m sure this is a Van Brunt. It has the logo on the cast iron box ends and many parts that match my model F and FB parts catalog but those twisted single disk opener pressure arm are very different than the F series. I'll keep looking but I'd still appreciate your help.

Can you find & post any casting numbers on any of the parts?? The twisted opener brackets are what made me think it wasn't a Van Brunt. What parts are similar to your other JD drills?
Thanks,Jim
