ToTaos and back .... what manure spreader did I bring home?

"Quick" one day trip to Taos, NM, roughly 460 miles one way. Came across this really nice and in good shape manure spreader. Current owner doesn't use it anymore, just has 2 horses left. Too good ($$)to pass up (hope I won't regret it...lol). First owner (Canon City, CO area) (I am #3)painted it JD green, but it still has red on the belly. Thinking it might be a NH, but what model? Has no plates, labels.
Thanks for helping out! Ralph in Mangum, OK.
PS: Will be looking for OP Man. once identified...hint, hint....LOL!!

Case spreader. I have a picture of one, but can't show it here because the picture I have has a label of bmp, and I'm needing jpg in order to produce it. Anybody know how I can make the transition?

Okay Ralph,

Isn't Taos the home of a bunch of "Slightly Irregular" folks? Artsy kinds of folks? Never been there but have known about the place for a long time.

You an artsy type?

That is a CASE model T6 70Bu. spreader. Join us on the Case forum, and we will provide much more info. on it. That one is in very nice condition.

Decided to try getting the picture this way---isn't the best. But you can see the comparison. Mine doesn't have the chain guard, but the similarities are there---fluted box, handle detail, etc.

Hmmmm,Tom, been pondering your comments all day Friday about the "slightly irregular" folks, artsy type of people........
......to be or not to be... that's the question of you (for me)...
Dunno, Tom, dunno! Am certainly not your "run of the mill" All American. Whatever that may be. I would think that I am "unique", one of a kind person. For once, two would be too hard to handle for my wife and second, I am me, for better or worse (for the rest of the world.) ........LOL
Just rode into town, looked at the spreader, and took care of business before turning around to head home. Didn't even stop for a pop or gas so didn't get to look around or visit much.
I have also heard that there are a lot of artists there, the gentleman I bought the spreader from makes custom doors, for example. Not claiming to know it all, but there are certainly more "slightly different" communities out there, Nederland, CO. for example. Have an uncle in law that has ties to there. But I do enjoy reading their weekly, The Mountain Ear....
Sooooo, give me a shout when you are in the neighborhood, and we can ponder the questions some more over a few cold ones..
Have a great weekend, Tom!
Ralph in OK.
