I am looking for the needles that go on the Massey Harris #3 baler. Mine have broken and I need to replace them but can not find them. I also would like to have a manual / parts list for the baler. If anyone knows where I could find these things for this old Massey Harris #3 hay baler let me know. It's and Oldie but a goody. |

Hi,Your balers are not 3's, they are 1's. The 3 was smaller and compact. Early ones were either grey or red depending on if sold thru Ferguson or Massey dealer. The Massey's were also sold as Massey Harris or Massey Ferguson some sold under Massey-Harris-Ferguson Ltd. Chuck

Many Years ago(I started out with it) I had a Ferguson #12(factory painted grey). It was very similar to the Massey-Ferguson#3.Later Ibought a "new" M-F 12.Lots better machine. They all had some interchangable parts. The Massey Harris balers that I have seen were all of the"horsehead" variety.

I think there was one built under the Massey Harris name and in no way simular to the Massey Ferguson. Think my neighbor has one stored back.

Positive, Massey Harris made farm equipment before it became Massey Ferguson. It's a great baler but old and hard to find parts.

Is it the one with the "Donkey Head " packer? We had one like that, and it made lovely bales.I'll look at our local scrap yard, as it is full of old farm stuff.
