Do all the NH choppers use the same axel spacers? Reading the manual, (for 32" rows) it says I'll need 2 on the spout side and 1 on the head side, as well as an extra brace on the side w/ 2 extensions. I'm guessing the 2 is just so it doesn't run down the corn and goes between the rows. I noticed that when folded, the feed housing is centered perfectly with the tire, so to open a feild, I may be able to stradle 3 rows (tractor is set wide) and pick up the row on either side of the tire. I just want to make sure the tire doesn't flatten one of the rows I'm stradling in the process.

Also, does any one have a picture of the bracket for the hydraulic pole? Never been able to use it on our Fox because both remotes were filled with the head and the spout. Now that the 892 is electric spout, I have an extra remote and I'm thinking that the hydraulic pole would be very nice in corn.

I was at the farm tonight and measured the tires inside and then I looked at where the chopper tire is, I think it'll be alright without any spacers. The tractor tires are JUST 64" inside to inside, and being planted on 32" centers it'll tip the rows in towards each other, but I think it should still be ok to turn around and pick up the other 2 rows as long as I don't wait too long after opening up the field.

The chopper tire looks like it'll be right inline with the tractor tire when it's folded up. We'll put the corn head on and give it a try this weekend...

As far as the hydraulic toungue, I'll have to see if I can find one with it and look at the brackets and the cylinder. It's a little different than the Gehl pictured, so not sure if that exact set up would work.

None of the manuals I have show a very good pic of the hyd tongue cylinder mount. The 900 uses a trunnion style cylinder that mounts to the sides of the cylinder instead of a clevis on the barrel end and pushes straight toward the tounge. It appears to mount somewhere under the reverser gear box but the pic is small and hard to see details. I would just use a regular cylinder mounted lengthways with the tounge and fab up mountings myself. The cost of the type of cylinder that was used on the NH setup would make it spendier than it needs to be. The sturdiest setup would be axle to tounge but there may be mounting issues there. As for axle extensions pretty much everything here is set up for 30" rows my 782 doesn't have any extensions on it.

Hyd hitch is very handy- especially cutting curvy outside rows. Here"s the one I made for my CB 600 (Too bad you didn"t buy it!). Pic is shady, but the rear piece is 1 inch thick flat stock, cut in a taper, with a J/hook extended for the cyl and welded to the main pole. Cyl mounting is also cut away a bit to provide clearance at extreme end of the stroke. (gotta watch that carefully first time). I also added a hyd cyl to the spout, so with the header lift it takes three remotes to run the machine.
