| All I have ever used is an 80W90 GL5 gear lube, commonly found at Walmart, Canadian Tires, etc. Keeping it change and free of contamination/water is more important than using exactly what they might specify, within reason. Mine is 20 years old. Bar doesn't leak and has never been open...Rod |

| What Rod said. My theory on gear bed disc mowers is to change the oil once a year.KEH |
