| A quick google search says Sawyer Massey was gone by 1920. How long Massey-Harris used the name I didn't see. The grease fittings may give you clue. Zerks didn't come out till '29, if that helps. Previous to that they used grease cups or open oil holes. |

| I don't know about that thresher, but looking at the design, I would guess it was made in the late 20's to mid-30's. It looks similar to the McCormick that Dad had from the same time period. I know that he got is used before I was old enough to remember it in 1939, which was about the last year that he used it to harvest ALL of the grain. He still threshed some to get a strawpile in the cow yard into the mid-40's before he abandoned the threshing machine. |
