A Ford 131 chisel plow, 10", is going to be sold at an auction near me soon. Does anyone know who manufactured chisel plows for Ford? From the picture, I am guessing Bushhog, but that"s just a guess. |

Not sure on the Ford chisel plows but the field cultivators were built by Glenco for both Case and Ford and Ford had a heavier tooth option than Glenco used under their name or the Case name. Had a 7' 7 shank one of the Ford chisel plows, did not use it much as I did not like a chisel in anything except bean stubble. Did not have power enough either to pull it in wheat stubble with a 5000 Ford.

I have a hybrid Glencoe/Case field cultivators. The 10 foot base unit must have been sold as a Case because it has Flambeau red showing where the oversprayed Glencoe green has peeled off. The 3 foot wings that were added to it sometime in its life only show Glencoe green.

You"re right- plant was in Glencoe, MN, about an hr from me. Went to their closeout auction when they closed. Maybe Case was a re-badged Glencoe, as well?

I think some Case chisels were, right after Case quit making their own. Then some Landoll products were rebadged as Case. After that came the merger with IH so they were back to making their own.
