Now to read the manuals, work out the kinks from sitting for 2 years, and see if it's a good fit at our place. Finding help has become more difficult so we thought this was worth a gamble. But some hay fields are around 2 miles away, so time will tell if it's worth it. Jay |

I had a 1034 NH for 8 years and stacked/delivered 100,000 bales a year with it and loved it, my farthest haul was about 8 miles one way when stacking in the yard 1-3 miles I pulled it with a 1030 Case and on the hills the 100hp was great wish I had it still as I traded for a 1049 SP NH wagon it was great on the road but I liked the pull type unit for stacking cnt

I'll be using it with a Cockshutt 1850, but most every hill is only gently rolling. Rear tires are pretty worn on the tractor - that might end up being the achilles heel in the system. It came with a spare tire and rim, as well as all manuals.

your 1850 will do fine like the other poster said they can be a little hard on drawbars on the 1030 it had the heavy duty one and gave no trouble, a friend of mine built a A-frame that hooked in to the top link mount and went under the drawbar a gave his added support, on other thing to note is make sure you make tight even sized bales to make a good stack I liked them to be 42-44 inches in length and average 75lbs seemed to work best for me cnt

It's the Wheatland model, so the drawbar is already pretty hefty. Better get a second beast to pull it... you know, just in case... lol As it is, we need to find a small unit to power the elevator while the other machines are haying (the Cockshutt used to run it at idle speed).Jay
