Just bought this used one and got to use it yesterday. If you use it the same direction that you cut the hay it almost stands it up like it wasn't even cut. Really got the air thru it. I have heard that people don't like them. But its a simple made machine and not much to go wrong, unlike some of the cheap made basket spinners. I am cutting with a 7 ft 3pt disc cutter and they work well together. I got the tedder for 700 and its in really good shape.

I use a Grimm tedder and like it. For 2nd and 3rd grass/alfalfa, I think its great as it fluffs up the narrow windrows and keeps them narrow, much less leaf shatter. But, you need to adjust the windrow carefully for the weather, because there is no spreading it wider later on.

I'm on my second Pequea tedder. My old one was a 910(?). And it did a pretty good job for being a single swath machine. Then I bought a NH rake tedder, which didn't do quite as well, but did OK. But if you think you like that 710, you ought to try a TT series. I bought a TT4000 last year, and it does a phenominal job.

Have to agree. The reason most guys don't think much of them is they do not spread it out and put it right back on the damp ground from wince it came. Compaired to the $$ I had invested in a 4 basket spinner, the 710 has been a steal.....

Just make sure you keep the teeth from hitting the ground. Very unforgiving.
