Good morning. I recently switched from a JD 14T to a JD 24T. The "newer" baler is set for a longer bale than I would like. I know how to change the size by adjusting the stop on the measuring arm. However, I wanted to be sure the bale size would not impact the timing negatively. This baler is working nicely and I do not want to change that trend. Also any suggestions on wear points that I should proactively check? I am replacing the stop pins in the slip clutch as they are worn. Thanks in advance. |

| my suggestion for every machine, get an owner's manual. They are very detailed in every adjustment and well worth the money. I used a 24T and except for the No. 2 kicker( I replaced with a no. 30), it worked great and I was sorry to sell it. Of course, I bought a 336 which is even better. |

| How long or how heavy a bale is has zero to do with timing and you can make a bale just as long or heavy as you want any time you want and not worry about timing. Now yes if you try to make one way to heavy by cranking the handles down you can cause other odd problems like your twine breaking but nothing to do with timing |

| Bale length on a small sq baler has ZERO(nothing) to do with the needle to PH timing. |
