400 x 7 tires for MM mower

I am restoring a Minneapolis Moline sickle mower, (maybe a U M 5) but need 400 x 7 rubber tires. Can't seem to find any. (miller tire/e-bay/obsolete tire companies) Any suggestions other than replacing rims with either 6 inch or 8 inch rims.

Are you sure they are not 4.00X9's. In 22+ years in the farm tire shop. I have never heard of 4.00X7's.
 
That UM5 mower did use a 9" wheel, measure the rims and not go by what is yet showing on the tire.
 
The tire on there now is a Firestone Champion also on the tire is Speed king and Gum Dipped. It has #'s 400 x 7 and it looks to be a split rim, The rim has MM and 15 H15 on it. I measured the rim and it is 7 inches. The wheels are one in front of each other on the sickle side. I have a repair parts book for a MM UM4 and it looks just like it except the U M 4 has steel wheels. Thanks to all for your help, still looking for tires for it.
 
I have 4.00 by 7 stud tread tires on an old Troy Bilt roto tiller. One tube just let go and I tried a 4.00 by 8 tube in the tire which was good and it is working. Can't find any 7 inch rim size tires at Gemplers or anywhere else. All 6 or 8.
 
I was pleased to find your query on a UM-5 mower. The tires are hard to find. fortunatley I have a new set. I think this is the steel wheel option was the same wheel used for the cultivator.

I am looking for information on the pitman stick. I have the hardware but stick is rotten. Have you found a sutiable pitman stick. Also I am in need of the belt.

I would suggest posting this in the MM section for a group of MM enthusiasts.
 
Check with (Small Tires Store) on Ebay. They actually are located in Cedar Rapids Iowa. They have a different local name but I always just go on Ebay and call that number and it goes to them. I have gotten 7 inch tires from them.
 
The UM series mowers used the same size tire that was used on the cultivators. Both being 7" tires.
