I just got out a NH 451 sickle mower from the shed and hooked it up. Is there a manual or a web site that may help me set up the mower so it will level out at a certain height? Right now it will level out but I think it is to close to the ground. If I raise it a little it will start to angle up. This is a tight machine with little wear however I need the belt number if anyone would have it. Thank You.

Height should be 16.5" to the top of the cross frame. NH belt # is 63804. Mike

The U shaped piece that has the latches on it controls the height of the shoe. If you look there are multible hole in that U. Just move the latch up or down as needed by using a different set of holes. That will change how close the mower is to the ground.

Thanks I did see that U shape frame and the over center latches. This mower use to be on a 1850 Oliver. Now it is on a D-17 A/C. I guess it sits lower now. I will have to look at the adjustment and see if there is a hole left to raise it. Where can I find the belt number on the internet?
