PTO Shield

I have a Ford 501 mower that is missing the PTO shaft shield, which allows the cut hay to occassionally wrap on the shaft. Will the shields sold by TSC work--what do I need measure and look for? Thanks. David/

They typically come in a long generic length, and you just cut them to what you need. I had to cut down 1/2 a used plastic sheild to replace one end of a metal sheild on our manure spreader that wouldn't stay on anymore.
When ever we replace a sheild, but one end is good (or only one end is there) we throw it in the rafters and keep the plastic bearings for it. Comes in handy for just such an occasion. Was even the right size that it slid inside the metal outer without any troubles.
