Could someone please give me some information on this IH Two-Bottom Plow that I recently purchased.

I would like to find out a model number so I can get a manual.

Also, what tractor would have pulled this plow?

When were they made?

It looks like it was painted blue, is that correct?

I would love to see a picture of one of these restored, if someone could post one that would be great!

Thanks for all the help!
From Denton, Nebraska.

Your plow looks like a Little Genius or a Little Wonder. I have what I call a Little Genius that looks like yours quite a bit. They were made way back when the IH 10-20's were made. That would have been in early 1930's. You might find a manual, but you would have to be very lucky. They are hard to find points for also. I just used mine to plow about an acre and it plows good. Mine is 2 12" bottoms.

You have an IHC Little Wonder or a Little Genious and would be pulled by a McCormick 10/20 or an IHC 8/16 depending how old it is. Regardless the paint scheme as determined by the IHC paint committee of the Wisconsin Historical society, the dterminate voice on matters such as this.

Wheels-Harvester cream
Moldboards, axles, and clutch lifting mechanism-Harvester Blue.
Hitch and coulter yokes-black
Frame and all other parts IE:adjusting levers and linkage etc.-Harvesrter Red.

You have a plow that the rear tail wheel carries the back end of the plow so it would be the Little Genious and it was made from back in 30's area up to the early 50's so any of the tractors in the Regular, 10-20, F20, F12, F14, B, BN, C, H or even a 15-30 or F30, W30 or M depending on bottom size and type of ground. The steel wheels does not date the year as they were avaible to end of production. The Little Wonder the rear of the plow was carried by a rod or simular from the hitch to the frame like the JD No. 51, 52 and 4B plows. The plow like you have could be expanded to a 3 bottom by adding a third beam. Wonder cannot be done on as would lift way too hard on the hitch to carry the back end. Don't know where my manuals are at this time.

Got this plow for free a couple of years ago. Did some work on it and it plows great behind a F20. It's a #8 Little Genius.
