Can't get moldboards for kverneland D5?

Went to the dealer today to get a new moldboard for my kverneland D5 7 bottom onland plow. We bought this last year and it is a great plow, had no trouble getting new points/shins/landsides this spring.

Dealer says there are no moldboards available and they have been discontinued. They are the older style moldboard with triangle shin pieces. Is this true? Does anyone know what I can do? I'm calling a different dealer but I think they use the same depot.

How old is this plow anyway? The tag says D5 NR.

Thanks in advance.

I just called a former parts man, he said the kverneland part number should be stamped on the back of the moldboard. Take this number to you local Case IH dealer and ask them about it. Case IH had a plow that used these bottoms, and they bought the entire bottom from kverneland . If you are in NY, call Empire tractor in Cortland NY they usually stock these parts. Although the Empire parts man in Cazenovia may have them also.

Thanks - Empire tractor is actually where we bought the plow last year. I got the number off the back and called John at the Cazenovia store. He looked it up and said their Atlanta store had 5 in stock. Then he called me back a little later and said they couldn't find them and he'd have to call the warehouse on Monday. Then he called back again and said that the number was superseded by a new one, and they had the new one. So I got them no problem.

Turns out the issue was my dad originally got one, brought it home and saw it had only 2 bolt holes on the bottom while our moldboards on the plow had 3. He took them back thinking they were wrong and said he needed one with 3 holes - this was not at Empire but a different place closer to where we live. The 3 hole one was the one that was no longer made. When I looked underneath the bottom, I saw the 3rd hole didn't actually mount it to the frog - it was just a hole that was filled with a bolt.

Thanks.

When you go after them, see if you can find out the model number of the plow, and let me know . My son in law has one of these plows. Thanks

My plow has "D5 NR" on the serial number tag. According to Cazenovia Empire tractor, the moldboard was used from 1976-1982.

The original moldboards on the plow are stamped with 063212. This part has been superseded by part number 063283, which is what I picked up yesterday and installed. It's nice looking moldboard.

Check out this page for a picture reference. Apparently this is a Kverneland No. 3 bottom.
