kewanee disk model 1020 21ft.. any good

probably not for that money, I used one several years ago, didn't cut real well even though it had good blades, I pulled it with a 120hp tractor 5mph in corn stalks , it did a nice level job though

Dave a 21 foot Kewanee 1020, will bring any where from $1000 to $4000 depending on the condition in this area.

I had one for years and liked it. If I still had it I would want more than 1300 out of it.

Doesn't sound to bad to me.

How are the blades?

Gary

They are a good heavy disc. A little light in the front if you try to put any type of spring tooth or drag on the back. I bought mine pretty cheap and it has real good blades mostly, need to replace a handful this spring. Bearings are no problem, can get most any part I need from my NH dealer. Mine has a lot of welding on it, been through hell and back, but still works great, get out in chisel plowed ground to smooth before planting and u will know it is behind you. PUlls easy in standing stalks. tj

Oh by the way $1300 is not to far out of line, mine was 750, but on a consignment sale late in the day, stuff was going cheap. Looked at one identical before hand in great shape and he wanted like 2500 or so.

I have a 1025 model. Same thing, only 25' instead of 20'. Sounds like a real good buy. I haven't had any trouble getting parts for mine. I've been able to use IH blades, spools, arbor bolts, and bearings on mine. Also, any Bush Hog dealer can get parts for it. Just price new disk blades and you'll find $1300 is pretty reasonable.
