JD plow shears ???

I have several John Deere plow shears and some for other brands. I'm trying to identify what plows they might fit. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Most are in good used condition.

They are:
Deere 217 Solid
Deere 217 U
Deere BHA 217A SC
Deere BCA 347A Solid
Deere BC 347 Solid
Deere 40 U
John Deere -Moline, Ill 218 (with running Deer and star emblem)
Solid BC 347 Cresent Forge
217 Solid
Star Mfg Solid 462
Star Mfg #1 14 5/16 C/42
Star Mfg #1X 104 14 9/32
db DT47 Solid
0556 Solid
DAC14 SC -looks like Moline style?
CY162A SC -looks like Moline?
OA 14-4 (NEW)

Thanks again,
Loren

I have a plow that uses the 217 shares. I do not know what model it is though. I would possibly interested in those.

Does anyone know the difference between U and solid?

I have 4 of the 217 Solid and 2 of the Deere 217U. The BHA 217A seems to be the same -I don't know the difference. Some are very nice and some have repaired points but still good. Looks like old blacksmith work on some. Would like to know about the 0556 shears -might be IHC? I'm north of Cambridge, MN.

I guess the response would be what bottoms they will fit. I have a pdf file I could send to you that has some of these shares in it. I would be interested in the BCA347A or BC347A if they are John Deere shares not aftermarket. You can email me and we can talk.

I have two Deere BCA 347A shears (one has some yellow paint on it near the bolt) and one Deere BC 347. One other Cresent Forge Solid BC 347.
I've listed these in the above list just as it says on the back of the shear. I'd like to find out what model plows these might fit so I could list them for sale. -But I suppose those of you needing these will know what you are looking for. I aquired these at a local auction as I needed some for a Moline plow -had to buy the whole lot. You can call 320-679-5500

In some areas the plowshare is called a plow shear and is listed this way in some old manuals. I usually call them plowshares, but have been told that I'm wrong about that also.
Guess I can't win.

I've always been Loren in MN -since about 2002.
The other Loren in MN that went to Fla. -I think is still there. I know he liked JD tractors. Thought it might be you, when you asked.

Send me an email or call 320-679-5500. This is not a sale ad, so I'd prefer not to make it such by listing prices here.
Thanks,
Loren

Thanks for the reply!! I haven't seen the other Loren lately, and thought he might have moved back to God's Country (I'm a midwestern boy and have been here in Florida for 32 years. It stll ain't home.
