deutz fahr gp220 round baler

I know little about fixed chamber round balers but I am interested in a deutz farh gp220. would I have any trouble using it on tift 44 and russell bermuda hay here in no. ga. any comments? thanks

You should be able to bale hay with it. The problem will be moving short stem hay 2-3 months later if it is not net wrapped. The method that this baler makes a bale works better in long stem grass like fescue, orchard grass, etc. Without a netwrap you will have to use a bale mover that goes under the bale. The bales will fall apart with a bale spear unless you used mega plastic twine or netwrap. You do not have as much problems with the longer stem hay. It can be done but you will have some problems moving older short stem hay.
