What are hte differences between the Allis-Chalmers 53 plow and the model 63 plow?

Both are mounted-type, 3 bottom, and for Allis snap couple. So what should I look out for?

Thanks!

This may be the difference, I think, look at the share and moldboard. The oldest plow (50 series) will have the old style share with 1 bolt and a hook on the back that mounts the share to the frog. An eyebolt attaches to the hook, and pulls the share tight to the frog. I think that 60 series and later have 3 or 4 bolt shares, and may have a longer shank for better trash clearance. Not 100% sure on that last. I do know that the latest models have the shank mounted swept forward at the bottom. Post a picture if you can, we'll get it ID'd here!

I recognize by sight the plows you are talking about- Dad bought the 3-16 with a WD45 in '56, had the straight shank. Later ones had the forward slant- were with the D Series tractors- do 53 and 63 reflect the years of manufacture?
