277 new holland baler value?

I would like to know the value of a NH 277 wire tie and an engine would be worth. It has sat outside for quite some time but looks to be in fairly good shape. The owner wants me to make an offer. The baler is close to home and I want to be fair but not over pay to much. Thanks for any replies. Jeff
 
I would be interested in the baler,been looking for one like that for awhile now. Where are you located? I would give a good price for it if it is not rusted out and close to me. Thanks
 
what yould you be willing to pay? Like I wrote, I need to know what a fair price of 277 would be. I am in Kansas. Jeff
 
I paid $3000 for a real nice one this spring at auction. It was the best looking baler out of the 8 or 10 balers they had. No kicker. Maybe I paid too much? But I tell ya, it ran great this summer - 4500 bales. This was the Lamb & Webster spring auction in Springville, NY.

We bought a 268 twine tie a few years back for $750. Was baling well when we got it. Have had to put a few small repairs in it, but that's expected. Don't think we got taken for $750!
 
I seen one in the tractor house and it has been sheded and they are asking $1750.00 I am waiting on some pictures but I would go get it if it is good shape and not rusted out and I live in Texas,and am going to get hit by Ike so I might not be able to get back on the computer if we loose our electricity. Thanks
