268 new holland baler

Can anyone tell me the difference between a New Holland 268 and a 269 baler. I want to bale prairie hay have found a 269. Any idea what these balers might be worth? Thanks, Jeff

269 has an extra u-joint in the PTO shaft,much the same otherwise.

I gave $775 for a 268 new holland in fair shape and ready to bale about 3 months ago in Southwest MO.

I talked to the auctioneer today, the old baler has been setting outside for some time. It will probably only bring scrap metal price. If I buy it and it doesn't work I can scrap it and only be out a little time and some gas... Thanks for the replies. Jeff
