Anyone know if Caswell Manufacturing Co. still exists?

They are, or were, in Cherokee, Ia. The only thing I could find on the internet was some EPA site that listed an address & phone number. I'm not sure how current that info is, or I'd call. I didn't find too many mentions of Caswell on this site. I'm trying to find a color photo or picture of a chain loader made by them in the late 40's early 50's. I have one on my Farmall H & would like to paint it up when I do the tractor. It's pretty handy to have especially with a snow blade (a 7'x30" blade on an H with weights & chains can move some snow in a hurry!). Anyway, there are a few very small spots of paint on it, so I do know it was red & yellow. I also remember seeing a yellow H stencilled on one side of the frame that bolts to the front of the tractor. The bucket/manure fork is yellow & so is the hydraulic ram. The frame members that bolt to the front of the tractor are red on the inside, under the dirt. I'm also wondering what they manufacture these days, if they are open. Thanks - Mike

Iowa Department of Corporations says the company is inactive. It looks like they filed to go into business in 1968. Their address was 1130 RIVERVIEW DR. CHEROKEE, IA, 51012

Hi Crazy Red Power;

My grandpa had a Caswell loader on a John Deere. It was all yellow, every thing. It had a pump box mounted on the axle run by a chain mounted on the PTO and a rod lever sticking up to operate it. It had a steel pipe running from the pump up along side the tractor frame to the cylinder. I always thought it was a Montgomery Ward, if so Caswell made it. It had a blade like yours but wasn,t used.

Thanks. Charley.

Ok, poorfarmall1, let us see if this putz can post a pic. If it works, it should be my H with the loader & snow blade.
