Just priced a fert box for a 7000 planter---$275.00 for a piece of fiberglass, you have got to be kidding. Does anyone know of an off brand that can be used. They must be nuts to charge that much....

That don't sound so bad to me.

On my new planter the the 2- 200 gal liguid fert. tanks and brackets were $2000.

lets think about that -- 2k for a couple of poly tanks.. Does that sound resonable or am i missing something--- were there brackets gold..lol

Also sounds pretty reasonable to me. I paid over $700 for two seed hopper fiberglass tops for my CIH 900 planter. These were only the top portion and did not include the hopper doors/lids, gaskets or any hardware.

No I am saying yours sounds like a better deal than I got.

Or let me put it another way. Compared to mine $275 don't sound so bad.

Shoup (www.shoupparts.com) and maybe Sloan Express (www.sloanex.com) are worth checking for planter parts like fertilizer boxes.

That's used, right? I think dealer price is over $500. I bought a used setup this spring, paid $1200 for three boxes and six good openers, $250 for the transmission to drive it.

Depends if you have been around farming much - buying from the dealer, you pay a lot, doesn't matter what the material is. Sounds to me like you are buying used boxes, new should be a lot more than that.

Each fert box is $275.00 through the web site and through the dealer, same price.. So $550.00 for two.
