Any ideas for finding rare sized implement tires?

I'm looking for at least one 6.50 X 36 implement tire for an old Nichlons hay tedder.

I know everyones' first thought is call Miller tire. Mine too! The great folks there have three NOS tires, but they are pricey! I'm not sure this old piece is worth spending that kind of money.

So I'm looking for a used tire or a way to fix the rotted side walls on the existing tires. Can they be stiched? or Patched.

Any one have an idea?

Will an wider 36" fit? Lots of old JD A&B, IH 12&14 used a
9.00x36. Or maybe engineer some chain drive like the
companies did when drills went from high steel wheels to small
pneumatic.

400-36 6 Firestone Power Implement L $225.00
Sometimes one just has to be happy the part can be found for any price.
Those Pneumatic tires are sometimes used on the 350lb Industrial and Fire training ground Fire Extinguisher carts.

might check with this company, but its a rare bird you are looking for.

good luck finding one.

Tires off of an Ontario grain drill will work if you have enough room for the extra width. I did that on my NI rake. Its not easy getting the wider tires on the narrow rims.
