My grandpa has dug up a horse drawn road grader in rather good condition. It was produced by J.D. Adams & Co. The model number is 01. We are not sure of the value or how we would go about selling it. Alos, we would like to try to get the most information possible on it first. If any one has anything to helpus or if you are intrested please email me.

First, value can depend greatly by where you're located, along with overall condition. I've owned a Adams #3 Road Patrol for 20 years and have been offered over $800 for it, but at that time I was not selling my collection of horse machinery. The smaller horse drawn graders are very collectable and not easily found in good condition. Many of them have had the front wheels removed for direct mounting to a tractor. I do have an extra set of front wheels for these machines. You could try posting a picture in the Implement Photo Gallery.

From what I have found out, J.D. Adams is from Rockville, Indiana and sold his invention to a company in Indianapolis, IN. We actually live in Clinton, In (About 5 minutesaway from John D. Adams home town)
