Deere wheat concave (small wires)

Last year I tested the Deere 8820 against the MF 860.
I think the 8820 does not tresh as nice, main cause being the concave, that is an "universal" one on mine. Wires are 15/16'' inch spaced, 1/4 inch.
THe MF860 I have has a small wire concave, and treshes a lot better.

For this year, I have removed the concave, straightened it and made few passes of it hard welding rod, then grind it to original.

Then I got 2 extra bats welded at the front of the concave, between the first 3 bats. I had them laser cut, so I did not have to drilled so many holes....

I still think the 8820 would perform a lot better in small grain with a small grain concave. Do you know where they are available?

I would give Harvest Services a call. We put a set of their concaves in a deere rotary and they are amazing.

Thank.you for your input! At least their website is very interesting !
When I see their concave, I think I am not terribly off on mine.
They have many neat ideas, like shimming cylinder's bar!
Massey one is machined, and it could be that they get some performance boost from there.

there are several parts supply places that sell and offer concaves for combines many have their own websites. Some even claim some fantastic yield improvement such I guess I would not need to plant the crop to get 15-20 bushel to the acre.
