JD Model 42 Combine is Stuck

I think a rock is stuck in the feeder chain. That's the one that moves the crop from the auger/feeder to the cylinder.
I can move the cylinder and the auger/feeder, just not the feeder chain, so that's where I think the problem lies.
I can't get a bar or pipe wrench or anything on it to turn it backwards. I've removed the access plates top and bottom, but can find nothing. Do I need to remove the entire header to see if I can locate the problem? I'll try to post this under combines too, but I don't see much there. kelly

Got it unstuck. I think I learned that I should use an appropriate powered tractor on old machinery. I was using an Oliver 1850 (90 some belt hp) and it really got the ol combine stuck HARD! kelly

I agree with you about keeping the horsepower down on them. I pulled mine with a 4040 so I could sit in the air conditioned cab. There was no sense of overloading it and putting everything right out the back.
