I currently have a TR75 New Holland combine, changed all the fluids back in the spring, started it up the other day and the head wouldn't lower or the
unloading auger wouldn't move, went to the engine area and noticed the hose coming out of the pump was drawn in. I'm thinking a blockage somewhere? A
couple weeks ago everything was fine, any ideas?

Also I found a late model 6600 JD combine for sale, between it and the TR75, which is the better machine? I've not picked with the TR75 yet, bought
it back in the winter and never used a deere combine.

When you say 'hose coming out of the pump', can I assume you mean the low pressure supply hose between the reservoir and the hydraulic pump? If this hose collapsed, another assumption I'll make is that it's a low pressure type which slides on fittings and is held in place with hose clamps? My CaseIH 1660 has several of those type hoses. I have replaced most of them. I can't remember why now, but there must have been something going on with them I didn't like. I would suggest doing the same. I even used the vacuum on the reservoir trick to avoid draining, and it worked!

It could be the oil reservoir breather is plugged, not letting air in and level going lower for some reason during storage.
I would expect a TR75 to have more capacity than a 6600, more similar to 7700. I know that older TR with straight bars are not doing well when straw is damp. But that is similar to older IH rotaries. In France we called those "combines for just married farmers". Because, they are always done at super time because of "too damp", while older conventionals are humming along trough the night...

That's the one i was talking about, it does slide up onto fittings at each end and held on by hose clamps, i replaced this hose (from NH) back in early spring, i'll check the breather cap and see if the problem could be there.
