gleaner E positive ground?

Hi
Took the battery our of my Gleaner E and neglected to see which side the pos and neg battery terminals are configured. Are all the Gleaner E's positive grounded? Is there anything bad that can happen if I hook up wrong, and if some are positive battery to ground and some are negative ground is there a way to test and tell?

Thanks

I would think if you compared the terminals, your positive would be spread out to a larger hole than the negative. That's where I'd start. I'm thinking from the age, it's probably positive ground if it still has a generator.

Gleaner E is generator and Positive ground and hooking it backwards will cause sparks and maybe burn Regulator and Generator up. Cables should only fit the way it suppose to go. Generator could be re-poleized to be negative ground.Cleddy
