Selling a combine

I have decided to sell my '68 JD 55 'corn special'.It has a 313 corn head and an older 14' platform. In this area of western Colorado it's probably worth about what it weighs(or less).I pd 1500 for it a year ago, just dont need it,and I'm thinking it's time to downsize a bit.It has some rust that needs attention, like any old machine. I'm not under any illusions,it's most likely going to get scrapped(but not by me). Old combines here are simply not in demand. Any small weekender here will be raiseing hay,not corn/small grains as there isn't much af a grain market here anymore. It all seems to be about horses anymore.

Gas, diesel, hydro, or belt drive? If I was two states closer I would at least buy the corn header to go with our 55 corn special.

That 313 corn head set up for a 55 is sort of rare. I have seen a few with 45 brackets but none with the 55 feederhouse brackets. Most 55's had the 334 or 335. I think all 313's were narrow rows. Tom
