TR75 Problem Found, Have Question

Today i removed the hydraulic cylinder off the unloading auger on my New Holland TR75, the cylinder moved in and out fine but the auger won't move more than 8" each way at the most, i greased the base good, did not see anything that is keeping it from folding back in. Anyone ever had this problem?? I'm trying to figure it out but so far its winning!!

Also a neighbor of mine has a 13' grain head off a Gleaner K for sale if anyone is interested, it is located in Western NC, he is asking $700 OBO

Can you swing the auger in and out with the cylinder removed? That would eliminate the base/swivel binding. I've done this with a long strap around the end of the auger. I guess it could still be the cylinder piston seal bypassing under load. I had a Case 1680 that the auger would swing out but no come back in. I could swing it back in with the strap as mentioned. That was electric over hydraulic and turned out to be a broken spool spring.
If yours is electric, you might need to trouble shoot that side first, make sure the solenoids are getting power and moving the spool. Another thing you can do is maybe swap the pipes around with the reel lift or some other function if they are on the same valve stack to see if problem stays with the auger or moves. I'm only familiar with Case and Claas, so not sure how a TR75 is set up.

With the cylinder unhooked the auger still won't go in, you can push it a few inches but then it stops, the cylinder will go in and out just fine when it is unhooked. I'm going to take the inspection cover off the auger housing and see if i find anything in there that might be blocking it

Yeah it runs good and smooth, i have no clue why it doesn't want to swivel around, it extended ok

Is it in or out? The only other thing that has given me problems in the past are the limit switches but it can't be them if the ram is moving when its unhooked. Its got the be the swivel ring or maybe the universal joint on the auger shaft is partially seized. You can look on the TR parts diagrams on New Holland or Messicks web sites if that helps.

It is all the way out, i'm going to take the outer cover off and see what the universal joint looks like, i heard the previous owner had issues with it doing this but could work with it and get the crazy thing to go back in. I think something is wrong at the valve cause to get the auger to move any at all i have to press the reel foot pedal as well. I've never dealt with a hydraulic unloading auger and don't know much about it, as do most people around here so i'm guessing the valve might need a seal kit put in it??

Hey Chris, got the auger fixed today!! The square shaft was dry and nearly froze up, put some oil and grease on it and now the auger works great, thank you for all your help!
