Does anyone know if a pto assy on a #25 and #30 combines are the same? Are those 4cylinder engine on a #25 of any value? canvas available anywhere?

thanks

Pretty sure the gear box is the same. Any small 'power unit' is worth something.A nonrunner that is complete usually brings at least $100. Good runners can bring more. Canvases are out there. Some Amish make em.I just had this conversation with a friend who has a couple of old canvas machines. However he got 'lucky' this summer. He found a 'new/old stock' canvas at an old out of business. This guy raises 'Heirloom' grains in small plots. The small pull types work perfect for that.He has an AC AllCrop and a small IH.I just gave him a JD #30 to use. He was thrilled. It will be working this summer.

thanks for the reply . Would you know if that engine on the 25 is J.D.? 4cyl overhead think I can get it going, Do have a lot of horses just setting around, maybe didn't need to maintain another engine, so was going with pto. Iknow they are in the trees!

The engine is the HA 92. 4 cylinder 92 cubic inches built in house by JD. Keep in mind JD 12As with the L series engines were common, but by the time the No 25 and later 30 came out, most combines were PTO powered. I'm not saying the HA 92 is super rare but they are much much much harder to come by then the earlier engines and you were wondering about the value.

Most likely it is 1 3 4 2. that the most common, unless it is 1 2 4 3,wich i have seen, but not often.I think it is Ford tractors that use the 1243.Often,the fireing order is cast into the block,or head.
