Also on the Vista sale was a 45 JD with 313 corn head...It shelled corn 4-5 years ago and sold for $400.

The engine in the 3300 was worth the selling price but you still have to haul it and remove it. The last pic of the 45 shows a 313 head which is 30 inch rows. They are somewhat sought after. Tom

I think the 3300 used the same engines as the 2510 tractor. Do you know what engine was in the 55? Seems there was a period, before diesels prevailed, where many manufacturers bought auto/industrial gas engines cheaper than they could produce their own. The Chev 292 was in at least three combines around here. Lots of F Gleaners, JD 4400, and MF.

Did they have a hydro option on the 3300 by chance? the 4400 dsl and 6600 gas I ran here in 73 I think it was were both belt drives,, the 4400 was brand new the 6600 was a year old at least then,, first Hydro JD I ran was a 8820 I used to help out a few custom cutters and run a machine for them during harvest, I used to know where that 4400 was at a few years back still, then it was in the same family as it was bought new in, may still be

Neither the 3300 or the 4400 had a hydro option. Kinda strange because the combines they replaced which was 55 and 95 did have that option.

Blaine - I saw that sale but unfortunately I was gone to Perryville visiting my wife's family on Saturday. The only thing at that sale that peaked my interest was the Allis 1200 field cultivator but there was no pictures of it in the sale bill.

With these machines selling so cheap why cant I find a decent 329 diesel for under $2000 and they are sold as running cores.
