Which I could have been there to see that! You could get away with so much more back in the day. If that was a modern picture it would include your friendly neighborhood DOT officer parked at the back of the line writing each of them a ticket for overweight on the rear axle, and over width without a permit or an escort. Not to mention back then we still knew how to build rugged functional equipment, but it still had style to is as well. I love that body style GM truck.

Maybe somewhere between 1960 and 1970? Combines maybe 26, 27, 90 or 92?

I think they are either 82s or 92s.

That's about a 1958 GMC truck, i had one same color as the lead truck, it had a 302-6 cylinder engine, with a 5 speed and 2 speed rear end.It was a good truck 2 @ 1/2 ton truck, but the best part about it was it shifted like a dream,cant remember what brand, the tranny was, but you could put a women or a inexperienced driver in there and never grind a gear, i sold it too a neighbor wished i had it back ! But that combining crew, had to have a loading dock and each farm or town that they stopped at, that had to be a liability !!

Before the Dual headlites in 58 , my guess ,probably 56-57,looks to be the massey harris 92 , or 82 , dont think those are 27s .1206 in Mo . would know. My 58 Viking chevy has a original 283 4and 2 that shifts as easy as anything i ever drove . I would sell it to a GOOD home reasonably . notice everything is new ,including the grain bins . Sorry to say those methods are the reasons why we have the strangling rule books today .LOL . And because there are now 3 times as many people scattered across this Great USA ,rightfully so ,No 4 lane interstates in those days , and No Traffic . No speeding tickets with that GMC screaming to run 60 MPH if they ever found a stretch of road that would allow it. Someone mentioned loading , If these trucks had a hoist , One can find a terrace and even a road bank that was easy to maneuver the combine onto the truck with the bed raised perhaps around 2 feet ,the bank and a few chock blocks would allow the combine good way on the back of the bed , ease the combine as far forward as possible the lowerthe bed and lock it down,there is hardly any weight behind therear wheels of the truck the way these combines are being hauled . But They had to be top heavy and hard to corner with at 30 mph let alone 50 mph . Those Trucks and combines might deliver 10 yrs of service before being junked and canibalized or traded for much better machines in the mid 60s'and after 10 more yrs the 70s would bring even better machines ,Sadly about the time that picture was taken, the banker was looking over a hard working mans shoulder constantly.That is the one thing that has not changed over the yrs .

The first combine is a super 92 I do believe. That was the best combine we ever had. The third truck back is a dead wringer for my ?58 GMC 300 out in the shed. She?s got a 270 6 cylinder and a 4x2. She runs like a Swiss watch. She doesn?t hall too much grain anymore as the semis are just more practical, but about once a harvest I get out the old ?chick magnet? to haul the last couple hundred bushels from a field. Other than that she?s on firewood and dirt duty.

One year one semi died the day before harvest. That chick magnet hauled two loads of beans for every one semi load (seven loads of beans a day) for two weeks and never stopped anywhere but the oil jug. She needs an awful lot of oil. The old rear main is well shot. I have had a new one on the shelf for a couple of years but I can?t bring myself to spend any quality time under that grimy nasty oily mess.
