IH 125 SPVC

Hi there,

Saw this guy - what is the difference between a 125 SP and the SPVC?

This one looks to be in nice shape. Always liked the looks of the rounded, swept back separator shell.

I'm just guessing here but does the V mean it's got higher ground clearance with those bigger tires like an MV or HV is a high crop tractor because didn't the 125SP have smaller tires? As for the C it for have been a special configuration for example set up for rice harvest. I'm just throwing guesses out here hopefully someone else that knows I can't find any designation in the parts book it does show the sp has smaller tires with teargas an option and an optional wide rear axle as opposed to one that looks like a narrow front tractor both options may have been standard equipment on an spv I had a great uncle that had a 125spv but it's gone now his looked just like the pic in your post but I don't recall it having the c in its designation and the c is also not on the operators manual that I found in his stuff.

Went for a motorcycle ride and looked at this unit. It's in pretty nice shape. You can tell it's been taken care of over the years. Tires, belts, and chains all descent. No rust holes in the grain bin. Talked to the owner and he said it was driven in the shed 2 years ago and wouldn't take much to get it going again. Also a good looking 615 and '50s IH grain truck. Located a few miles north of Ellsworth, Wis.
