John deere #2 combine

I have a john deere #2 combine. Missing the header. My research indicates it was first built in 1927. Does anyone know where a serial number might be located and if found can i reference it to the correct model and year. Thanks

I have a #2 combine on my farm. I haven't looked for the serial number. Do you need mine for parts or want to sell yours. I'm in central Kansas

does yours still have the header? I am not looking to ever run the machine, just have it complete.

I went out to check my combine and realized it is a model #3 JD combine. Yes, It does have the head which I think is pretty much
complete. My preference is to sell to someone who is trying to get a #3 running again or find another #3 I can bring home and try
to make a running combine from the 2 of them. The weather has been hard on the Hercules engine but I do know where another one can
be had.
