Now a fuel gauge question

3300 JD. Gauge reads empty unless you remove the wire from the senser at the tank. Then it goes to full. Is this a senser problem and anything I can do other than just get a new part? LB

You mite run it low on fuel, then undo the sender from the tank and have a look at it. Perhaps the float fell off.

Usually when that happens you need a new sending unit in the tank, also check to make sure its not grounded out. Below are the part numbers for the sending unit.

AH75546 - No Longer Avaiable! this fits combines through serial number 4500
AH115345 - $107.90, this fits serial number 4501 and up. This one might work for AH75546, check with Deere to make sure
