Hey everyone
I’m in need of a pulley
Part no. 306146R1
It’s the seperator drive pulley on my 181
Any help would be appreciated

There was an ad in the photo ads on this site, of a fellow that had a pile of NOS IH parts. Perhaps he has one?

Darn it - I do not suppose you could find a similar
pulley on a different model machine, eh? Did the
503 or later have a similar pulley on it anywhere?
Or are they so very different?

They are totally different
On the 503 the the pulley floats on the shaft
And the 181 is splined to the shaft
I’m sure it’s only used on the 181
I’ll keep looking
Thanks again

"On the 503 the the pulley floats on the shaft"

Dugger, that's a REALLY strange statement. FLOATS?

I have a spare early 503 flat belt pulley, and (IIRC) it fits tight on a tapered shaft with a keyway.

Considering it drives the whole machine "floats" simply doesn't make sense.

Hey bob
I have a 503 and the propulsion drive shaft
Run inside of the seperator drive shaft
It run all the time while the seperator shaft is disengaged
Engaging the seperator locks the clutch inside bell housing
And that drives the seperator
When seperator is disengaged it is just floating on the bearing
And not turning even though the propulsion drive is

Hey Bob
That is the way my 503 is
Maybe the early ones were like the 181
My flat pulley does not run all the time
On the 181 it runs all the time and you just
Tighten the belt with an over center idler
Is that the way yours is
