I dug more into the issue. I ended up taking off the unloading pulley so I could get down to the lock collar behind the electro magnetic clutch. I noticed the belt guide on the electro magnetic clutch was cocked a little. I also noticed it mounts to the bearing carrier. I losened the lock collar and everything slid over into place nicely. The belt guide is now straight. I realized the the lock collar on this side only holds the bearing carrier in alignment with the yoke and engagement lever. Either it moved or it was simply just out of adjustment from replacing the broken shaft. Am I correct in figuring the lock collar on the engine side of the combine holds the shaft from moving either direction? The one on the electro magnetic clutch side isn?t fixed like the other side.
